Lightsaber Questions

RGB vs Pixel. Which is better?

RGB lightsabers use powerful LEDs in the hilt to shine light up through a hollow, diffusion-filled blade. It is highly durable, making it perfect for heavy dueling. They provide a number of visual and sound effects but less than pixel lightsabers. RGB lightsabers are are more affordable cost and repair wise. Pixel lightsabers are more complex in their build with heavier electronics than an ordinary RGB light saber. They provide a more realistic look, have different special visual and sound effects in the blade and hilt, and costs more to buy and repair than your standard RGB lightsaber. Pixel blades are built with pixel LEDs, that go along the entire length of the lightsaber blade. These LEDs are super bright, radiant and, compared to other blades, are highly illuminative. Pixel blades can handle light to medium dueling but are best suited for display, cosplay, or stunt use. Choose the blade that best suits your need.

What are sound fonts?

Sound fonts are custom audio files and programming that controls the sounds and animations of your lightsaber. They define how the saber sounds when igniting, swinging, clashing, etc. Each sound font also features iconic phrases or effects from various themes. All sabers have the base core sound effects— hum, ignition, swing, clash, etc.—but each sound font alters how these effects sound, offering different sound experiences with the same lightsaber.

Are sound fonts different from sound effects?

Sound fonts change sound effects to match the style of certain lightsabers. Sound effects are featured in all sound fonts and include ignition, motion sounds, blaster deflection, clash noises and more. These sounds differ depending on the sound font chosen.

Can you duel with sabers from The Battle Master's Armory?

Most of our lightsabers are suitable for dueling, depending on the hilt and blade configuration. Our polycarbonate blades are durable and slightly flexible, but no blade is damage-proof. For heavier dueling, choose an RGB core and blade with a suitable hilt. Pixel/Neopixel blades contain internal LED strips and are intended for light-to-medium dueling, not high-impact strikes. Narrow-neck sabers are also limited to light-to-medium dueling. Flat blades are not intended for dueling or combat of any kind. Review your product’s use rating and our Warranty page before dueling.

What is polycarbonate?

Polycarbonate is a tough, naturally transparent thermoplastic prized for its exceptional impact resistance and heat tolerance. It serves as a lightweight alternative to glass in demanding applications like bulletproof windows, safety shields, and medical equipment. Given the extraordinary properties of polycarbonate, it makes a perfect material for the construction of lightsaber blades.

Can I replace my blade?

Most saber blades are removable and can be replaced. Insert the blade before powering on, and avoid twisting it during installation or removal. Replacement blades should match the saber’s blade type, connector, diameter, and length.

How do I choose a compatible replacement blade?

Check the original product listing or contact support before ordering. TXQ and LGT components are generally not interchangeable, and Pixel, RGB, and Flat blades may use different connection requirements. If you are unsure, email support@battlemastersarmory.com with your order number and saber model.

Is my saber better for display, cosplay, or dueling?

Pixel blades are especially suited to display and cosplay because of their animated ignition effects, scrolling effects, and color options. RGB blades are generally the better choice for regular or heavier dueling. Flat blades are designed for specific appearances and are not intended for combat. Always follow the use rating for your specific hilt and blade.

International Customs & Taxes

Will I have to pay any extra fees when my package arrives?

Yes, if you live outside the United States. We ship all international orders under DAP (Delivered at Place) terms. While your shipping is 100% free, your checkout total does not include local import taxes (like Canada's GST/HST, the UK's 20% VAT, or Europe's regional VAT). Your local postal service or courier will send you a text or email with instructions to pay these local government fees before they can deliver your package.

Can you mark my package as a "Gift" or lower the invoice value to avoid taxes?

No. We comply strictly with international customs regulations. All high-value e-commerce packages must be declared with their accurate transaction value to ensure safe legal transport through global customs networks.

What happens if I refuse to pay the customs fees on delivery day?

If you refuse to pay the border fees, your local delivery courier will abandon and destroy the package. Because we cannot recover high-value items once they are destroyed by border authorities, abandoned packages are completely non-refundable. We highly recommend checking your country's local import thresholds before placing an order.

Is shipping free?

Yes. We offer free international shipping on orders. Your checkout total covers the product and standard transit to your delivery address. Local taxes, import duties, customs charges, and carrier handling fees may still apply under DAP shipping terms.

How long does order processing take?

Please allow 3–5 business days for our warehouse to verify, pack, and process your order. Tracking information is sent after the package is handed to the carrier.

How long does delivery take after processing?

Standard transit is generally 7–12 business days after processing. Delays may occur during sales, product launches, customs inspections, holidays, or other events outside our control. If your order has not arrived after 15 business days, contact support@battlemastersarmory.com.

Do I need to provide a physical delivery address?

Yes. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or military addresses, including APO, FPO, and DPO addresses. Please provide a valid physical residential or commercial address at checkout.

Shopping Limits & Restrictions

How many sabers can I buy at once?

For fraud prevention, secure transit logistics, and international customs compliance, The Battle Master's Armory enforces the following transaction limits on all orders:

  • Maximum order value: $1,000 USD per transaction
  • Maximum quantity: 5 items per order
  • High-value items ($300+): Limited to 3 units per order

If your cart exceeds these limits, your order may be automatically held or cancelled. To complete a larger purchase, please place multiple separate orders.

Why does my mystery box order keep getting canceled?

Due to local regulations, Mystery Box products cannot be sold or shipped to the following regions: Hawaii (US), Washington (US), Idaho (US), Belgium, and the Netherlands. Orders placed from or shipped to these regions will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded.

Core & Compatibility

Are TXQ and LGT blades and cores compatible with each other?

TXQ and LGT use different core systems and connector types, so their components are generally not cross-compatible. Replacement parts should match the original saber brand, model, core system, and blade type. Contact support before ordering if you are uncertain.

What does the core control?

The core is the electronic system inside the hilt. It controls features such as sound, colors, motion effects, sound fonts, blade effects, and app connectivity. Available features depend on the specific core installed in your saber, so check the product listing or the appropriate TXQ or LGT Saber Guide.

Does my saber support app control?

Some TXQ sabers with S-RGB or SNV4 Pro cores and some LGT sabers with Xeno 3.0 RGB or Xeno 3.0 Pixel cores support Bluetooth app control. Not every core includes app access. Check your product listing or included manual for the confirmed features of your model.

Where can I find my manual and app instructions?

Your saber’s operation and app support depend on its installed core. Visit our TXQ Saber Guide or LGT Saber Guide for manuals, supported app instructions, and tutorials. Not every core supports Bluetooth or app control. If you are unsure which guide applies, email support@battlemastersarmory.com with your order number and saber model.

What is a Pogo Pin core?

A Pogo Pin core uses compact, spring-loaded electrical connectors. It must be used with the correct RGB or Pixel adapter. Never connect a Pogo Pin core directly to a blade, because doing so can short the blade and cause failure. Damage caused by an incorrect connection is not covered under warranty.

How do I confirm the correct blade length and fit?

Use the blade specifications shown on the product listing for your saber. Blade length, diameter, connector type, and blade technology all matter. Do not assume that a blade from another model or brand will fit. Contact support before ordering if the specifications are unclear.

How should I charge my saber?

Follow the charging instructions supplied with your specific saber. Use a 5V 1A adapter, charge for no more than 3–4 hours, and do not charge overnight. Check battery polarity carefully if your model has a removable battery. Refer to our TXQ Saber Guide or LGT Saber Guide for instructions. If you are unsure which charger or charging method your saber requires, contact support@battlemastersarmory.com before charging.

What should I do if my saber won’t turn on or make sound?

First, charge your saber using the recommended equipment, then follow the power-on instructions in your model’s manual. Some cores have a physical power switch. If your core has one, ensure it is pushed all the way to the left. If the saber lights up but has no sound, check whether mute mode is enabled using the instructions for your core. Manuals are available in our TXQ Saber Guide and LGT Saber Guide. If the problem continues, contact support@battlemastersarmory.com with your order number, saber model, and a short video showing the issue. Contact us before removing or modifying the electronics.

Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?

Contact support@battlemastersarmory.com within 24 hours of placing your order with your order number and requested change. Once an order has been packed, assigned tracking, or handed to the carrier, changes may no longer be possible.

What if I selected the wrong blade, core, or saber configuration?
