Your Saber Deserves Proper Care
A premium display lightsaber is an investment. Whether it's a limited-edition Master Series piece or your first Noble Series saber, proper care keeps it looking showroom-perfect for years. Here's everything you need to know.
Cleaning the Hilt
The hilt is the heart of your saber and usually the most expensive component. To keep it clean:
- Use a microfiber cloth for regular dusting — it won't scratch the metal finish
- For fingerprints and smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (70%). Never spray liquid directly onto the hilt.
- Avoid abrasive cloths or paper towels — these can scratch anodized or polished aluminum surfaces
- For textured or knurled grips, use a soft-bristle toothbrush to get into the grooves
- Never submerge the hilt in water — electronics inside are not waterproof
Cleaning the Blade
Blades attract dust and fingerprints, especially on Neopixel builds where the internal LEDs make every smudge visible when lit.
- Remove the blade from the hilt before cleaning when possible
- Wipe down with a clean microfiber cloth in long, straight strokes — not circular motions
- For stubborn marks, a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on the cloth works well
- Store blades vertically or horizontally on a flat surface — never lean them at an angle for extended periods, as polycarbonate can develop a slight bow over time
Battery and Electronics Care
All Battle Master's Armory sabers include built-in rechargeable batteries. For replacements, batteries must be purchased directly from us to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Recharge before storage — store at around 50% charge for long-term preservation
- Don't leave the saber on for extended periods when not in use — heat degrades LEDs and electronics over time
- Use the included charging cable and avoid third-party chargers that may deliver incorrect voltage
- If the battery no longer holds a charge, contact us for a replacement — do not attempt to open the hilt yourself
Display and Storage
- Keep out of direct sunlight — UV exposure fades blade color and can yellow polycarbonate over time
- Use a display stand or wall mount to keep the saber off surfaces and reduce handling
- Avoid high-humidity environments — moisture is the enemy of electronics and metal finishes
- For long-term storage, wrap the hilt in a microfiber cloth and store in the original box or a padded case
Handling Tips
- Handle by the grip, not the emitter or pommel — these are often the most delicate machined sections
- If your saber has a removable blade, always ensure it's fully seated and locked before any movement
- For display-only sabers, minimize unnecessary activation — every hour of runtime is wear on the LEDs and sound components
When Something Goes Wrong
If you notice flickering, sound issues, or loose components, contact us within 72 hours of delivery with photos or video. Most issues are covered under our damage and defect policy. Don't attempt to open or modify the hilt yourself — this voids any recourse for defects.
